A little touch of spring color against an old barn in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
Born and raised in Iowa, I served in the United States Navy for 24 years before finally retiring to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where I currently work as an air traffic controller at the Lancaster Airport in Lititz, PA. I've always had an interest in photography, especially aviation; and now that digital has arrived, I enjoy capturing the images that I've always passed on because of the cost and my lack of experience. I hope that my images might inspire someone to stop for a moment, look around, and enjoy the beauty around them. You never know what you might see. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your visit. Feel free to contact me at dancin1995@comcast.net if you have any questions.

Dan, you are absolutely great at scenic photography. I love the barn--the stone and brick use, the misshaped windows, the color of the barn and the tree. Very good eye, good catch, and I'm enjoying just looking. Thank you for sharing.

Wonderful colors.

Somehow this is very artsy with the 3 misshapen windows Dan! Congrats on your Feature in Barns Big and Small group. We also added a Like here! Celebrate life, Debra and Dave
Dan Myers replied:
Thanks Debra and Dave for the feature. I have driven by this barn just about every day for the past 13 years and it wasn't until last spring that I noticed the tree as it bloomed. The purple against the rustic color of the old bricks and stones immediately got me thinking and I couldn't wait until this spring to check it out. The biggest challenge was catching it in the right light. Celebrate life.
