Description
An HDR image of the interior of the historic Coleman Memorial Chapel north of Lititz, Pennsylvania.
The cornerstone was laid on August 27, 1874 and the chapel was officially dedicated on July 8, 1877. The 1982 Lancaster County Historical Sites Survey states, This is a very accomplished example of the First Gothic Revival on a relatively small scale. It was one of the finest Victorian period churches of its time with the interior retaining much of its original appearance and detailing which includes stained glass windows, original oil lamps and stenciling. A special feature is the original parchments from 1874 located behind the pulpit.

So many of these old churches are works of art. Ordinary people see very few of them and it is nice when someone takes the time to share what is there. Love the patterned beams across the ceiling and the stenciling on the ceiling and side walls. Gorgeous. Thanks for taking the time to share something that is really special.
